Presidents' Message

The Benton County Republican Women have a great purpose and that is to help the people in our county. We encourage and educate each other and the general public. We are in a battle in the United States between liberal and conservative ideas. We can all make a difference. Each person and each vote is important. We need to be wise and seek the truth from speakers on radio, television, in books and in person. The past is important so we don’t repeat errors.

I think that we can safely say that America has departed from the constitutional principle of limited government that made us great and prosperous.

Liberty is seldom lost all at once, but rather bit by bit. Taking liberty from Americans is like the story of cooking a frog. It can’t be done quickly because the frog will feel the heat and escape. But put a frog in cold water and heat it slowly, and by the time the frog grasps the danger, it is too late. Some Americans have been deceived by the media and ignorance into believing that their freedoms are not threatened. It is our job as conservatives to wake them up before our liberty and freedoms are lost and we are all cooked.

Every election is important and each one seems more important than the last one. The next two years will be very important times in our county, state and nation. I am happy to be working with each one of you on important issues.
